.A word from the NEW Sapura Industrials' Human Resource Head Honcho..

Assalamualaikum and good afternoon,

Dear all colleagues,
We are now coming into 3rd month of FY13/14 and things will not be easy for sure as the automotive industry is getting very volatile. In last Monday HRA KPIs in all companies, we stressed on attendance which was deteriorating for February 2013 for all companies except for SBT. The attendance record indicated that TARDINESS is our issues here, forget about SA (Special Approval) that being granted which will definitely shoot the number up if we take it into our consideration.

As the EXECUTIVE and above in SIB Group, our role is vital to set a good example to others. Executive is only 15% of our total workforce and giving such example and message to 75% of our NON-Executive is very unhealthy. We can’t afford to be slacking thus everyone’s cooperation is needed.
With the above in mind, we want all executives to ensure they come on time to the office and set a good examples to others. HRA will closely monitoring all the staff attendances and please ensure you are not contributing to the number. Below are what we require from all:
1. For Executive to Senior Manager – It is no exception and everyone of you are required to register your attendance daily ie. Thumb IN & Thumb OUT. We will check against your records and strict adherence is required. Bosses to lead by example.
2. For those field staff (always IN & OUT of office on business) – Should you expect yourself to be out and will not be coming back to office, please Thumb Out to register your attendance (punch out). HRA will take note on it and clarification will be sought if so necessary.

THE WINDS OF FATE

One ship drives east and another drives west
With the same winds that blow.
It is the set of the sails
And not the gales
Which tells us the way to go.
Like the winds of the seas are the ways of fate,
As we voyage along through life
It is the set of a soul
That decides its goal,
And not the calm or the strife.
In simple terms, the above ships were trying to tell us that in life we all live in the same environment, face the same conditions and undergo almost similar problems. The people who succeed are the ones who are clear about their destinations, set their sails right, and then sail their boats in the direction that they want to go, irrespective of the direction of the wind. Those who are not so successful, allow the wind to dictate their destinations, and then land in places that they did not want to go in the first place. They then blame the wind for their fate.
Be clear about where you have to do today in your life and then set your sails right. NEVER EVER let the wind choose the direction for you!!! That is the easy way out. Going against the direction of the wind (if that is where you want to go) will be the more difficult option, but that is surely a small price to pay for success. Lead your life rather than allow life to lead you!!
We look forward for your cooperation and support. I do hope I have inspired you in some small way to make changes in your personal life so that you will be able to attain more success in your life and SAPURA as a whole. Take care and have a blessing day ahead insyallah..
