S W O T analysis of Proride The Magazine..



Objective
International Autoparts Sdn Bhd in its fifth year of establishment in the aftermarket feels it needs to move a level up on its branding activities and thus wishes to produce a magazine of our own called Proride. Proride is conceptually designed to be an automotive cum lifestyle magazine and shall meet the taste buds of all walks of life in terms of its contents and presentations.

SWOT Analysis.

Strength
Prorides biggest strength is that it shall be an eye opener to the market and  that Sapura has an automotive parts outfit as even after 3 decades, most still associate Sapura with Telecommunications and now, oil and gas.With our chosen platform of free distribution to 5 star hotels, the local airlines reading outfit,Ministries lounges and Tourism offices , Proride shall also be sold at selected retail places around the country plus an e mail blast of the e magazine type to about 300,000 readers.
In short, Proride the brand has now been given a huge lifeline to excel in the marketplace , at this time, chinese dominated of entirety.

Weakness
Clearly, publishing has never been our forte but through a smart win win partnership with an undisclosed publisher shall be the start of a budding new business for us.The only other major setback for us shall be the non compliant of the rigid Sapura s Corporate Communication norms as to make it sale able ,the magazine must spice up the contents and presentation lay outs  to current tasta and flavours,whereby an  annual report format of magazine layout,shall fail  miserably in the market, i kid you not.

Opportunities
We have, as we speak, an average of 5000 piece absorb er market a month , equalled with 6000 Sapura employees and a multitude of clients in 5 different industries, coupled with our undisclosed partner of 300,000 customers, together, it is almost an excellent market dominance.

Threats.
Possibly the only one here is that this product does not constitute an automotive product , thus ,it will be asked to be transferred to non auto under Encek Kelana,but as he is not versed of the market nor its clients and mechanics,this project will fail there.On full support from the Management, this could be IASB's bull run into prosperity god willing...
